Harcha
Harcha is a Moroccan bread that's made from semolina flour. It's usually served for breakfast or tea time.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Milk - 3/4 cup
- Butter - 1/2 cup, melted
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Baking powder - 2 teaspoons
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Semolina flour - 2 cups
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine the semolina flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the melted butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add the milk, stirring until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a round disc about 1/2 inch thick.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook each disc for about 5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Serve the harcha warm, with honey, jam, or cheese.
