Grilled Cheese and Green Chile Sandwich
This delicious grilled cheese sandwich is made with melted cheese and flavorful green chiles.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Green chiles - 4 ounces, roasted and peeled
- Cheddar cheese - 4 slices
- Bread slices - 4
Let's Get Started
- Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, on the skillet.
- Top each slice with 2 slices of cheddar cheese and half of the roasted green chiles.
- Place the remaining bread slices on top, buttered side up.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom bread is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt.
- Flip the sandwiches and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
- Remove from the skillet and let cool for a minute before serving.
- Cut the sandwiches in half and serve hot.
