Green Bean and Bacon Skewers
These delicious green bean and bacon skewers are the perfect appetizer or side dish for any occasion.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup, grated
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Bacon - 12 slices
- Green beans - 1 pound, trimmed
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 2 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath to cool. Drain and pat dry.
- Cut each bacon slice in half crosswise.
- Wrap a bacon slice around a green bean and thread onto a skewer. Repeat with the remaining green beans and bacon.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Brush the olive oil mixture onto the bacon-wrapped green beans.
- Grill the skewers for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the bacon is crispy and the green beans are tender.
- Remove from the grill and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
