Garlic Herb Focaccia

Ingredients - Serves 8

Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, combine the warm water and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the top and let it sit for 5 minutes, or until it's foamy.
  2. Add the flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, or until it's smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it's doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Punch down the dough and press it into a greased baking sheet.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, chopped rosemary, and chopped thyme. Sprinkle this mixture over the top of the dough, then gently press it into the dough with your fingers.
  7. Drizzle the top of the dough with a little more olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the focaccia is golden brown. Let it cool slightly before cutting and serving.
