Garlic Balsamic Marinated Tempeh

Ingredients - Serves 4
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Honey or maple syrup - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Balsamic vinegar - 1/2 cup
- Tempeh - 1 package (8 ounces)
Let's Get Started
- Cut the tempeh into thin slices and set aside.
- In a bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, olive oil, soy sauce, honey or maple syrup, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- Place the tempeh slices in the marinade, making sure each piece is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.

- Remove the tempeh from the marinade, reserving the leftover marinade for basting.
