Ingredients - Serves 8

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, granulated sugar, softened butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Mix until well combined.
  3. Place one sheet of puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Spread the almond filling evenly on top of the puff pastry, leaving a border around the edges.
  5. Place the second sheet of puff pastry on top and press the edges to seal.
  6. Using a sharp knife, make decorative cuts on the top of the galette.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
  10. Traditionally, a small figurine or bean is hidden inside the galette. The person who finds it in their slice is crowned the king or queen for the day!
