Let's Get Started

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, bread crumbs, egg, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Shape the mixture into cylindrical sausages, about 10-12 cm long and 3 cm in diameter.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or deep fryer to 180°C (350°F).
  4. Carefully place the frikandels into the hot oil and fry for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Remove the frikandels from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or as a topping for fries.
