Fiskefrikadeller
Fiskefrikadeller are Danish fish cakes made with fresh fish, herbs, and spices. They are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
- Bread crumbs - 1/2 cup
- Egg - 1
- Fresh dill - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- White fish fillets - 500g
Let's Get Started
- In a food processor, blend the white fish fillets until smooth.
- Transfer the fish mixture to a bowl and add the chopped onion, fresh dill, egg, bread crumbs, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Shape the mixture into small patties, about 2 inches in diameter.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Cook the fiskefrikadeller for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve hot with a side of remoulade sauce or tartar sauce.
