Fig and Balsamic Glazed Figs

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut a small cross at the top of each fig, about halfway down.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 2-3 minutes, until slightly thickened.
  4. Place the figs in a baking dish and drizzle the balsamic glaze over them, making sure to fill the cross cuts.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped thyme over the figs.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the figs are soft and the glaze is caramelized.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  8. Serve the glazed figs warm, topped with crumbled goat cheese and chopped walnuts.
