Fideua de Mariscos
Fideua de Mariscos is a popular seafood dish from the coast of Spain. It's similar to paella, but made with noodles instead of rice.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Lemon wedges - For serving
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Mixed seafood - 500 grams
- Saffron threads - A pinch
- Fish stock - 1 litre
- Tomatoes - 2, finely chopped
- Red bell pepper - 1, finely chopped
- Onion - 1, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fideo noodles - 250 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
Let's Get Started
- Heat the olive oil in a large paella pan or skillet over medium heat.
- Add the fideo noodles and cook until golden brown, stirring frequently.
- Add the garlic, onion, and bell pepper and cook until softened.
- Add the tomatoes and cook until they break down and form a sauce.
- Pour in the fish stock and add the saffron threads. Bring to a boil.
- Add the mixed seafood, season with salt and pepper, and stir well.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer until the noodles are tender and the seafood is cooked through, about 10-15 minutes.
- Serve the fideua hot, garnished with lemon wedges.
