Fava Bean and Pecorino Pizza

Fava Bean and Pecorino Pizza

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. In a pot of boiling water, blanch the fava beans for 2 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  5. Remove the tough outer skins from the fava beans.
  6. Spread the olive oil evenly over the pizza dough.
  7. Sprinkle the grated pecorino cheese over the dough.
  8. Arrange the fava beans on top of the cheese.
  9. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted.
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  12. Garnish with torn fresh basil leaves.
  13. Slice and serve hot.
