- Cheese - 200 grams, grated
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Yuca - 1 kilogram, peeled and chopped
- Tomatoes - 2, chopped
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 large, chopped
- Dried beef - 500 grams, soaked and shredded
Let's Get Started
- Soak the dried beef in water overnight to remove the salt. Drain and shred the beef.
- In a large pan, sauté the onion and garlic in a little oil until golden. Add the shredded beef and tomatoes and cook for a few minutes until well combined.
- In a separate pot, boil the yuca until soft. Drain and mash the yuca with the butter and milk until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the mashed yuca, the beef mixture, and then the remaining yuca. Top with the grated cheese.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
