Durian Pengat
Durian Pengat is a creamy and decadent dessert made with durian fruit, coconut milk, and palm sugar.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Pandan leaves - 2 leaves
- Palm sugar - 1/2 cup
- Coconut milk - 1 cup
- Durian flesh - 2 cups
Let's Get Started
- In a saucepan, combine the coconut milk, palm sugar, pandan leaves, water, and salt.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the palm sugar is dissolved.
- Remove the pandan leaves from the mixture.
- Add the durian flesh to the saucepan and stir well to combine.
- Simmer the mixture for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
- Pour the durian pengat into serving bowls and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until chilled.
- Serve cold and enjoy!
