Ingredients - Serves 6

Let's Get Started

  1. Rinse the grape leaves and soak in warm water for 20 minutes.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic and cook until soft.
  3. Add the rice to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Add the water, dill, mint, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked.
  5. Drain the grape leaves and pat dry. Place a spoonful of the rice mixture in the center of each leaf and fold the sides over, then roll up into a cylinder.
  6. Place the stuffed leaves seam-side down in a large pot. Cover with water and simmer for 40 minutes, or until the leaves are tender.
  7. Serve the dolmadakia warm or cold, with lemon wedges on the side.
