Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large pan, melt the butter and add the apples, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until the apples are soft and caramelized.
  3. Roll out one sheet of puff pastry and place it in a pie dish. Fill with the caramelized apples.
  4. Roll out the second sheet of puff pastry and place it over the apples. Trim and crimp the edges to seal.
  5. Brush the top of the pastry with the beaten egg.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and crispy.
  7. Allow to cool before serving.
