Crispy Fried Fish with Mango Salad
This delicious crispy fried fish is served with a refreshing mango salad.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Black pepper - To taste
- Salt - To taste
- Lime juice - 2 tablespoons
- Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
- Red bell pepper - 1, diced
- Mango - 1, peeled and diced
- Vegetable oil - 2 cups
- Breadcrumbs - 1 cup
- Egg - 1, beaten
- All-purpose flour - 1 cup
- Fish fillets - 4 pieces
Let's Get Started
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or pot.
- Season the fish fillets with salt and black pepper.
- Dredge the fish fillets in flour, dip them in beaten egg, and coat them with breadcrumbs.
- Carefully place the coated fish fillets into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the fried fish fillets from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
