Crab Cakes with Aioli

Ingredients - Serves 4
- For aioli: salt and pepper - To taste
- For aioli: lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- For aioli: mayonnaise - 1/2 cup
- For aioli: garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Bread crumbs - 1/2 cup
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Old bay seasoning - 1 teaspoon
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 teaspoon
- Dijon mustard - 1 tablespoon
- Mayonnaise - 1/4 cup
- Lump crab meat - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the bread crumbs and beaten egg until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 8 patties.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the crab cakes for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- While the crab cakes are cooking, make the aioli. In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Serve the crab cakes hot with the aioli on the side.
