Classic Hashbrowns
Crispy, golden brown hashbrowns made from scratch. Perfect for a hearty breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Russet potatoes - 2 large
Let's Get Started
- Peel the potatoes and grate them using a box grater. Rinse the grated potatoes under cold water, then squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
- Heat the butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the grated potatoes to the skillet, spreading them out evenly. Press them down with a spatula.
- Cook for 7-8 minutes, or until the bottom is golden brown and crispy.
- Flip the hashbrowns over and cook for another 7-8 minutes, or until the other side is golden brown and crispy.
- Season with salt and pepper, then serve hot.
