Clam Sauce

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. Scrub the clams under cold water to remove any dirt or sand.
  2. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the clams and white wine to the pot. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the clams have opened.
  4. Remove the clams from the pot and set aside. Discard any clams that did not open.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  6. Remove the clams from their shells and chop them into bite-sized pieces.
  7. Return the chopped clams to the pot with the garlic and wine mixture. Add the chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  8. Add the cooked spaghetti to the pot and toss to coat the pasta with the clam sauce.
  9. Serve the clam sauce over the spaghetti and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
