  2. Arrange the pitted cherries in a single layer in the greased pie dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Add the milk and vanilla extract, and whisk until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth.
