Clafoutis
Cherry clafoutis is a classic French dessert made with fresh cherries baked in a sweet custard-like batter.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Powdered sugar - For dusting
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Milk - 1 cup
- Eggs - 3
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Granulated sugar - 1/2 cup
- All-purpose flour - 1/2 cup
- Fresh cherries - 2 cups, pitted
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish.
- Arrange the pitted cherries in a single layer in the greased pie dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, and salt.

- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the cherries in the pie dish.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the clafoutis is set and golden brown on top.

- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
