Chocolate Ganache Tart with Hazelnut Crust

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a food processor, pulse the hazelnuts until finely ground.
  3. Add the flour, butter, sugar, and salt to the food processor and pulse until combined.
  4. Press the hazelnut mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan.
  5. Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes, or until golden. Let cool.
  6. Place the chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
  7. In a small saucepan, bring the heavy cream to a simmer over medium heat.
  8. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let sit for 1 minute, then stir until smooth.
  9. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  10. Pour the chocolate ganache into the cooled hazelnut crust.
  11. Refrigerate the tart for at least 2 hours, or until set.
  12. Slice and serve.
