Chim Cut Chien Gion
Chim Cut Chien Gion is a Vietnamese-style crispy fried chicken dish.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Vegetable oil - For frying
- Cornstarch - 1/2 cup
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Lemongrass - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Chicken wings - 1 kg
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine fish sauce, minced garlic, chopped lemongrass, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the chicken wings to the bowl and marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Coat the marinated chicken wings with cornstarch, shaking off any excess.
- Carefully place the coated chicken wings into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 8-10 minutes.
- Remove the fried chicken wings from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
