Chicken Saltimbocca
Chicken Saltimbocca is an Italian dish made with chicken, prosciutto, and sage, all wrapped up and cooked to perfection. Served with a white wine sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Chicken broth - 1/2 cup
- White wine - 1/2 cup
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Flour - 1/2 cup
- Sage leaves - 4
- Prosciutto - 4 slices
- Chicken breasts - 4, boneless and skinless
Let's Get Started
- Place a sage leaf on each chicken breast, then wrap each with a slice of prosciutto.
- In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, and pepper. Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture, shaking off the excess.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown, about 3 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the butter, wine, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil and cook until the sauce has reduced by half, about 5 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and cook until heated through, about 2 minutes. Serve the chicken with the sauce.
