Chicken & Waffles

- Maple syrup - For serving
- Butter - For waffles
- Milk - 1 cup
- Eggs - 2
- Waffle mix - 2 cups
- Vegetable oil - For frying
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- All-purpose flour - 2 cups
- Hot sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Buttermilk - 2 cups
- Chicken breasts - 4, boneless and skinless
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk and hot sauce. Add the chicken breasts and let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, salt, and pepper.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, letting the excess drip off, then dredge in the flour mixture.
- Fry the chicken in the hot oil until golden brown and cooked through, about 10 minutes per side.
- While the chicken is cooking, prepare the waffles according to the package instructions.
- Serve the fried chicken on top of the waffles with butter and maple syrup.
