Chargrilled Oysters
These chargrilled oysters are cooked on the grill with a delicious blend of butter, garlic, and herbs.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup, grated
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Cayenne pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Butter - 1/2 cup, melted
- Oysters - 12 large, on the half shell
Let's Get Started
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, and salt and pepper.
- Place the oysters on the grill, shell-side down.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the oysters start to open.
- Carefully remove the top shell of each oyster.
- Spoon the butter mixture onto each oyster.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Grill for another 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and slightly browned.
- Serve the chargrilled oysters hot, with lemon wedges on the side.
