Ceviche with Citrus and Avocado
This refreshing ceviche recipe is made with fresh fish, citrus juices, and creamy avocado. It's a perfect appetizer for a hot summer day.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Avocado - 1, diced
- Jalapeno - 1, seeded and minced
- Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Red onion - 1, thinly sliced
- Orange juice - 1/2 cup
- Lemon juice - 1/2 cup
- Lime juice - 1/2 cup
- White fish - 1 pound, cut into bite-sized pieces
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine the fish, lime juice, lemon juice, and orange juice. Make sure the fish is completely covered in the juice. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the fish is opaque and cooked through.
- Drain the fish, reserving some of the citrus juice.
- Add the red onion, cilantro, jalapeno, and avocado to the bowl with the fish. Toss to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. If desired, add some of the reserved citrus juice for extra flavor.
