Let's Get Started

  1. In a large pot, bring 1.5 liters of water to a boil.
  2. Add the fish fillets to the pot and cook until they become opaque. Remove the fish and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, add the pineapple, tomatoes, tamarind paste, fish sauce, and sugar. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Add the okra and cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. Return the fish to the pot and add the bean sprouts, rice paddy herb, chili, and garlic. Cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. Adjust the seasoning with more fish sauce or sugar if needed.
  7. Serve the soup hot with steamed rice.
