  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and milk together.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Take small portions of the dough and shape them into balls.
  6. Carefully drop the dough balls into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Remove the bunuelos from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  8. In a shallow dish, mix together the cinnamon and sugar.
  9. While the bunuelos are still warm, roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until coated.
  10. Serve the bunuelos warm and enjoy!
