Buluur
Buluur is a traditional Mongolian dumpling filled with meat and vegetables.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Dough wrappers - 24 pieces
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Cabbage - 1 cup, finely chopped
- Carrot - 1 medium, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Ground beef - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, carrot, cabbage, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Place a small amount of the filling onto each dough wrapper. Fold the wrapper in half and pinch the edges to seal.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the dumplings and cook until golden brown on the bottom, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add water to the skillet, cover, and cook for another 8-10 minutes, or until the dumplings are cooked through.
- Serve hot with soy sauce or dipping sauce of your choice.
