Bread Pudding
This delicious bread pudding is made with stale bread, eggs, milk, sugar, and warm spices.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Powdered sugar - For dusting
- Butter - 2 tablespoons, melted
- Raisins - 1/2 cup
- Nutmeg - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Eggs - 4
- Milk - 2 cups
- Stale bread - 6 cups, cubed
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- In a large bowl, combine the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Whisk until well combined.
- Add the stale bread cubes and raisins to the bowl. Mix well, ensuring all the bread is soaked in the liquid mixture.
- Pour the bread mixture into the greased baking dish. Press down gently to ensure even distribution.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the bread pudding.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the pudding is set.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
