Bok Choy and Sesame Chicken
This delicious stir-fry combines tender chicken, fresh bok choy, and a flavorful sesame sauce.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
- Green onions - 2, sliced
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Bok choy - 4 heads, chopped
- Chicken breast - 2, boneless and skinless, sliced
Let's Get Started
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, cornstarch, and water to make the sauce.
- Heat cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped bok choy and cook for 2-3 minutes, until slightly wilted.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and pour the sauce over the chicken and bok choy.
- Stir well to coat everything in the sauce and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
