Bobor Sam Jok
Bobor Sam Jok is a traditional Cambodian rice porridge dish made with ground pork, century eggs, and preserved radish.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Fish sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Jasmine rice - 1 cup
- Chicken broth - 4 cups
- Ginger - 1-inch piece, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Preserved radish - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Century eggs - 2, peeled and chopped
- Ground pork - 1/2 pound
Let's Get Started
- In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and cook until fragrant.
- Add the ground pork and cook until browned.
- Add the preserved radish and century eggs, and stir well.
- Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Rinse the jasmine rice and add it to the pot.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the porridge has thickened.
- Season with fish sauce, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and cilantro.
