Ingredients - Serves 4
- Onion - 1, sliced
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Lettuce - 4 leaves
- Burger buns - 4
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Beer - 1/2 cup
- Cheddar cheese - 1 cup, shredded
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Ground beef - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then form into 4 patties.
- Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, make the beer cheese sauce. In a small saucepan, combine the cheddar cheese, beer, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Toast the burger buns, if desired.
- To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a burger patty, a spoonful of beer cheese sauce, and a slice of tomato and onion. Cover with the top half of the bun.
- Serve immediately, with extra beer cheese sauce on the side for dipping.
