Beef Dip Sandwich
This delicious beef dip sandwich is made with tender roast beef, crusty bread, and a flavorful au jus for dipping.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Crusty bread rolls - 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Dried thyme - 1 teaspoon
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Beef broth - 4 cups
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1, sliced
- Beef roast - 2 pounds
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 325°F.
- Season the beef roast with salt and pepper.
- Heat a large oven-safe pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef roast and sear on all sides until browned.
- Remove the beef roast from the pot and set aside.
- In the same pot, add the sliced onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is softened.
- Add the beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, salt, and pepper to the pot.
- Return the beef roast to the pot and bring the liquid to a simmer.
- Cover the pot and transfer it to the preheated oven.
- Cook for about 3 hours, or until the beef is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- Remove the beef roast from the pot and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Slice the crusty bread rolls in half lengthwise.
- Place the sliced beef on one half of each roll.
- Serve the sandwiches with a side of the flavorful au jus for dipping.
