Beef Chow Foon
Beef Chow Foon is a classic Cantonese dish made with wide rice noodles, tender beef, and stir-fried vegetables.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Oyster sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Bean sprouts - 2 cups
- Scallions - 4, sliced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Beef sirloin - 1 pound, thinly sliced
- Wide rice noodles - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- Cook the wide rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large wok or skillet, heat the vegetable oil over high heat.
- Add the beef slices and stir-fry until browned and cooked through. Remove from the wok and set aside.
- In the same wok, add the garlic, ginger, and scallions. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the bean sprouts and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
- Return the beef to the wok and add the cooked rice noodles.
- Drizzle with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss everything together to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
