BBQ Tempeh Ribs
These BBQ Tempeh Ribs are a great vegan alternative for traditional ribs. They are flavorful, smoky, and delicious.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Smoked paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Bbq sauce - 1 cup
- Tempeh - 16 oz
Let's Get Started
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the tempeh into 'rib' sized pieces and place them on the baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Brush the tempeh ribs with the spice mixture, making sure all sides are coated.
- Bake the tempeh ribs in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, remove the tempeh ribs from the oven and brush them with the BBQ sauce.
- Return the tempeh ribs to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes, or until the BBQ sauce is caramelized and sticky.
- Serve the BBQ Tempeh Ribs hot, with extra BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.
