Baked Ziti
This delicious baked ziti is made with pasta, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, and melted mozzarella.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Fresh basil - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup, grated
- Mozzarella cheese - 2 cups, shredded
- Ricotta cheese - 1 cup
- Marinara sauce - 3 cups
- Ziti pasta - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together the marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, half of the shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the cooked ziti pasta to the sauce mixture and stir until well coated.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and sprinkle the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
