Bacon Onion and Cheese Stuffed Burgers
Juicy burgers stuffed with crispy bacon, caramelized onions and melted cheese. Perfect for a weekend barbecue or a casual dinner.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, mustard - For serving
- Hamburger buns - 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Cheddar cheese - 1 cup, shredded
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Bacon - 4 slices, cooked and crumbled
- Ground beef - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, cook the chopped onion until caramelized. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked bacon, caramelized onion, shredded cheese, salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
- Preheat a grill or a grill pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- Serve the burgers on the buns with lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup and mustard.
