Bacon and Onion Collard Greens

- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Apple cider vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Chicken broth - 2 cups
- Collard greens - 1 bunch, stems removed and leaves chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 large, chopped
- Bacon - 4 slices
Let's Get Started
- In a large pot, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pot and set aside.
- In the same pot, add the chopped onion and cook until it becomes translucent.
- Add the minced garlic to the pot and cook for another minute.
- Add the chopped collard greens to the pot and stir until they start to wilt.
- Pour in the chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, and season with salt and pepper. Stir everything together.
- Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for about 45 minutes, or until the greens are tender.
- Crumble the cooked bacon and sprinkle it over the greens before serving.
