  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
  2. Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
  3. In a small bowl, mash the avocado with a fork. Add salt, black pepper, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes (if desired) to taste.
  4. Spread butter on one side of each toast slice.
  5. Spread the mashed avocado mixture evenly on the buttered side of each toast slice.
