Bacon and Avocado Toast
This delicious bacon and avocado toast is a perfect combination of crispy bacon, creamy avocado, and toasted bread.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Red pepper flakes - Optional, to taste
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - To taste
- Salt - To taste
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Bread - 4 slices
- Avocado - 1, ripe
- Bacon - 4 slices
Let's Get Started
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
- Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, mash the avocado with a fork. Add salt, black pepper, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes (if desired) to taste.
- Spread butter on one side of each toast slice.
- Spread the mashed avocado mixture evenly on the buttered side of each toast slice.
- Top each toast with 2 slices of cooked bacon.
