Asahikawa Ramen
Asahikawa Ramen is a popular Japanese noodle dish known for its rich and flavorful miso-based broth.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Soft-boiled eggs - 2
- Corn kernels - 1/2 cup
- Bean sprouts - 1 cup
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
- Ramen noodles - 2 servings
- Chicken broth - 4 cups
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Miso paste - 3 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Pork belly - 200g
Let's Get Started
- In a large pot, cook the pork belly over medium heat until browned and crispy. Remove from the pot and set aside.
- In the same pot, add the sliced onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Cook until the onion is translucent.
- Add the miso paste and soy sauce to the pot and stir well to combine.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- While the broth is simmering, cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Divide the cooked noodles into serving bowls.
- Pour the hot broth over the noodles, then top with the cooked pork belly, chopped green onions, bean sprouts, corn kernels, and soft-boiled eggs.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
