Clam Ramen
This delicious clam ramen is made with fresh clams, flavorful broth, and topped with various toppings.
Ingredients - Serves 2
- Nori seaweed - 2 sheets, shredded
- Soft-boiled eggs - 2
- Green onions - 2, sliced
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Chicken or vegetable broth - 4 cups
- Ramen noodles - 2 packs
- Fresh clams - 1 pound
Let's Get Started
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a separate pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the chicken or vegetable broth to the pot and bring to a simmer.
- Add the fresh clams to the broth and cook until they open up, about 5-7 minutes. Discard any clams that do not open.
- Remove the clams from the broth and set aside. Strain the broth to remove any impurities.
- Return the strained broth to the pot and add soy sauce. Bring to a simmer.
- Divide the cooked ramen noodles into serving bowls. Pour the hot broth over the noodles.
- Top each bowl with cooked clams, sliced green onions, shredded nori seaweed, and a soft-boiled egg.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
