Ingredients - Serves 24

Let's Get Started

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced). Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine oats, flour, sugar and coconut.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and golden syrup over low heat. Mix the baking soda with boiling water and add to the butter and syrup mixture.
  4. Pour the liquids into the dry ingredients and mix well.
  5. Spoon dollops of mixture, about 1 tablespoon in size, onto lined baking trays and press down to flatten slightly. Make sure to leave plenty of room for the biscuits to spread while cooking.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Leave biscuits on the trays for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool.
