Ingredients - Serves 24
- Semi-sweet chocolate chips - 1/2 cup
- Sweetened condensed milk - 1/4 cup
- Shredded coconut - 1/2 cup
- Coconut extract - 1/2 teaspoon
- Granulated sugar - 1/4 cup

Let's Get Started
- Preheat the oven to 300°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a food processor, combine the almond flour and powdered sugar and process until fine.
- In a large bowl, beat the egg whites until they form soft peaks. Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
- Fold the almond flour mixture into the egg whites until the batter is smooth and shiny.
- Transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe onto the prepared baking sheets. Let the macarons sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- Bake the macarons for 20 minutes, then let them cool completely.
- In a small bowl, combine the shredded coconut and sweetened condensed milk. Spread this mixture onto half of the macarons.
- Melt the chocolate chips and spread a thin layer onto the other half of the macarons. Sandwich the two halves together.
- Let the macarons sit for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
