Air Fryer French Fries
Crispy and delicious French fries made in an air fryer.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Potatoes - 4 large
Let's Get Started
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into evenly sized fries.
- Place the fries in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for 30 minutes. This helps remove excess starch and makes the fries crispier.
- Drain the fries and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the olive oil, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Add the dried fries to the bowl and toss them until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Place the seasoned fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; you may need to cook them in batches.
- Cook the fries in the air fryer for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- Once the fries are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and serve immediately.
- Optional: Sprinkle with additional salt or seasoning of your choice before serving.
