Air Fryer Chimichangas
These crispy and delicious air fryer chimichangas are filled with seasoned ground beef, cheese, and beans.
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Salt and pepper - To taste
- Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Guacamole - 1/2 cup
- Salsa - 1/2 cup
- Sour cream - 1/2 cup
- Shredded cheese - 1 cup
- Refried beans - 1 cup
- Taco seasoning - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Onion - 1 medium, diced
- Ground beef - 1 pound
- Flour tortillas - 4 large
Let's Get Started
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
- Add the taco seasoning, salt, and pepper to the skillet and stir to combine.
- Warm the flour tortillas in the microwave for a few seconds to make them more pliable.
- Spread a spoonful of refried beans onto each tortilla, leaving a border around the edges.
- Top the beans with a scoop of the ground beef mixture and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
- Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it up tightly to form a chimichanga.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the chimichangas in the air fryer basket, seam side down, making sure they are not touching each other.
- Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the chimichangas and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy.
- Serve the chimichangas with sour cream, salsa, guacamole, and chopped cilantro.
