Air Fryer Chimichangas

Ingredients - Serves 4

Let's Get Started

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Add the taco seasoning, salt, and pepper to the skillet and stir to combine.
  3. Warm the flour tortillas in the microwave for a few seconds to make them more pliable.
  4. Spread a spoonful of refried beans onto each tortilla, leaving a border around the edges.
  5. Top the beans with a scoop of the ground beef mixture and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  6. Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it up tightly to form a chimichanga.
  7. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  8. Place the chimichangas in the air fryer basket, seam side down, making sure they are not touching each other.
  9. Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the chimichangas and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy.
  10. Serve the chimichangas with sour cream, salsa, guacamole, and chopped cilantro.
