Udon with Spicy Sauce

This udon noodle dish is tossed in a flavorful spicy sauce, perfect for those who enjoy a kick of heat.

Ingredients

  • Toasted sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Green onions - 2, thinly sliced
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Sriracha sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Udon noodles - 8 ounces

Instructions

  1. Cook the udon noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sriracha sauce, honey, and rice vinegar to make the spicy sauce.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the spicy sauce to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes, until heated through.
  4. Add the cooked udon noodles to the skillet and toss to coat them in the spicy sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the noodles are heated through.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions, chopped cilantro, and toasted sesame seeds.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
