Udon with Chili Sauce

This udon with chili sauce is a spicy and flavorful dish that combines thick udon noodles with a delicious chili sauce.

Ingredients

  • Toasted sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Green onions - 2, sliced
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Red chili paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Udon noodles - 8 ounces

Instructions

  1. Cook the udon noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
  4. Add the red chili paste, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
  5. Add the cooked udon noodles to the skillet and toss to coat them in the chili sauce.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the noodles are heated through.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions, chopped cilantro, and toasted sesame seeds.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
