Ingredients

  • Parmesan cheese - 1/4 cup, grated
  • Bread crumbs - 1/2 cup
  • Salt and pepper - To taste
  • Truffle oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Gruyere cheese - 1.5 cups, shredded
  • White cheddar cheese - 1.5 cups, shredded
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • All - purpose flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Butter - 2 tablespoons
  • Macaroni - 2 cups

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour to make a roux, cooking for 2 minutes.
  4. Slowly whisk in the milk, then bring to a simmer. Cook for 2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  5. Remove from the heat and stir in the cheddar and Gruyere cheeses until melted. Stir in the truffle oil, salt, and pepper.
  6. Add the cooked macaroni to the sauce, stirring until well coated. Pour the mixture into a baking dish.
  7. In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle over the macaroni.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
