Tostadas de frijoles are crispy tortillas topped with refried beans, fresh toppings, and a tangy salsa.

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil - For frying
  • Salt - To taste
  • Salsa - 1/2 cup
  • Lime - 1, juiced
  • Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Red onion - 1/4 cup, thinly sliced
  • Tomato - 1, diced
  • Avocado - 1, sliced
  • Refried beans - 1 can
  • Corn tortillas - 8

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Fry the corn tortillas one at a time until crispy and golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  3. Spread a layer of refried beans on each tostada shell.
  4. Top with sliced avocado, diced tomato, red onion, and chopped cilantro.
  5. Drizzle with lime juice and salsa.
  6. Season with salt to taste.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
